I think the solution is for us to have appropriately staffed workplaces. Instead of trying to squeeze every bit of productivity out of workers, hire enough people to do the work. We aren't machines. We get sick. We have kids. We lose loved ones. There should be enough people on hand to cover for each other without it being a crisis.
