I think single people really need to keep their social ties tight. I can always get help from my husband and my son who lives nearby. I just picked up my son (who lives along) from the mechanic. If you don’t have family/friends ready to help each other with the kinds of things a housemate would have done back in the day, you’ll have to hire such help.
