I suspect them, yes. I get that sometimes people do have happy relationships like that. But more often, I see women with few options resorting to wealthier old men to support them. I see wealthy old men using their money to “buy” pretty young women. I see most of these relationships as transactional. Would the couple be together if the pretty young woman were an heiress and the old man were living in poverty? There may be a happy couple like that somewhere, but I’ve never seen it.
