I suppose? But I generally diagnose myself before I go in, and already know what sorts of treatments or tests or meds might be in order. I am not always right, mind you, which is why I need a doctor! (Also, if I do need subscription meds, I have to have the doctor involved.)

But for instance: I know, having had two simply enormous babies, that I'm at risk of diabetes. I spent $25 on a blood sugar testing kit and every so often I see how I'm doing and adjust my diet accordingly if it edges higher. Almost anybody could do that.
