I really respect that you are able to admit that you made a decision that you regret. Most people who made this decision for their son are completely unable to admit this. But all all do better when we know better.

The father of my children is an American. When I had my son in 1992, I had never actually seen an intact male, other than a few babies. Still, I knew I didn't want to put my child through it. Years later, I ended up divorced and later remarried a European. Europeans are nearly alwys intact. Now I know quite a lot about foreskins!

My son is an adult and is quite glad to have his entire sexual birthright. He was never teased and no partner has ever objected, he says.

I would make circumcision of minors illegal if I could. No parent has the moral or ethical right to remove part of a child's genitalia. Neither girls not boys should be subjected to this.
