I really enjoyed my years home with my children, and I believe they benefitted from it. I am in awe of the salary you gave up to do it! I was making such crap as a journalist that I wasn't giving up much, considering the daycare for two kids would have eaten more than I made. I did keep a hand in, doing an occasional freelance piece and keeping up my contacts. Those were some fantastic times.
