I own my house because I'm in control. I can do almost anything I want to it. I can paint my kitchen floor blue or another room ruby red. I can dig a fishpond in the backyard or build a treehouse or gut the attic and turn it into a recording studio. (We actually did do all those things.) Plus, in another year or two we will have NO HOUSE PAYMENT AT ALL and that's going to be fantastic.
