I never had a list. When I was the divorced single mom of two teens -- and fat and poor to boot! -- I knew I wanted someone good, kind, honest and intelligent. I got him. It's so dumb to get caught up on stupid stuff. My husband and I dated for a couple of years, which was not easy because he is Dutch and was still living in Europe. We met when he was here visiting his American relatives, of which a good friend of mine was one. We got married in 2006. We are really happy together.
