I missed out on most of the mall experience. I didn’t grow in a place that had one. When I finally did live near one, there wasn’t enough money to enjoy it — it was just waking around, looking at all the stuff I couldn’t afford. Maybe that’s part of what killed malls — too much of the population has no discretionary income now.
