I miss the news gatekeepers. I was one. All this fake news bullshit was much less of a problem back in the day.
And honestly, some judicious gatekeeping would make it easier for quality work to be seen. Sometimes I feel lost in a sea of mediocrity.
However, the old systems were far from ideal. And while you might be able to find a way to get through to a human gatekeeper, you can’t appeal to an algorithm to give you a second look.
