I make our food from scratch, including our bread, and we do everything possible for ourselves. We have to have cars because of where we live (no public transportation) but I am so thrifty I do things like hang up the laundry to save the cost of drying. I do this to survive, not to get ahead. I was never able to land a job that paid well.
