I lived through a version of this. It was horrible, but we did get through it. My children are now grown and they are close to me and not so close with their father. Kids aren’t blind to which parent is loving and supportive. I think the painful divorce is why my daughter is a therapist today. Her dad’s behavior was so incomprehensible.
