I live where housing is “cheap” but the flip side is that my house is worth almost the same now as when I bought it 15 years ago. It’s a home, not an investment. I’m 58 so just a bit younger than a boomer, but still live essentially as if I were barely out of college — I never made any money and now make even less. No vacation home for me. Instead, I still eat peanut butter and beans.
