I live in a fixer-upper Victorian that we bought for a low price and cannot afford to finish fixing up. It's not all bad -- some rooms are quite nice -- but honestly, I thought we'd have addressed the peeling wallpaper by now. Can't just yet. Still, I'm thankful we didn't spend more. I'll take the peeling wallpaper over homelessness.
