I let my hair grow long and gray. I refuse to care about clothing and wouldn’t be caught dead carrying a designer handbag — I do not need such things. I need family, friends, books, music, good meals and conversation. My sister died at 52 and didn’t get to experience old age. I’m going to savor mine.
