I know where you're coming from, having spent the first half of my childhood in a trailer and having been working class for most of my adult life. I hang up 100 percent of our laundry to dry, even in winter. I make nearly everything we eat from scratch, including bread. I don't have a dishwasher. We do everything possible ourselves. I have never paid someone to do my nails or give me a facial or mow my hard or groom my pets. People assume our income is twice what it really is because I'm so thrifty. I have to be.
