I have a big problem with our excessive individuality.

Perhaps a few of you know, the United States is a more egocentric country. This is not a criticism, only an observation. When faced with the choice of the well-being of the community versus the individual, our society tends to lean towards supporting the individual. In all fairness, this seems the most legitimate course of action, as those who are more capable and motivated will likely rise to the top naturally and benefit the group as a whole later down the line. This makes ego-centricism a more unique mindset for a country, but not to be faulted, as its value is directly tied into the belief that individualism is king and a definitive pathway to security… For all parties involved.

I have a big problem with our excessive individuality. We really need to care more about each other. Covid should have made that obvious to all of us, but some people still do not get it.
