I had no idea the rest of the world was so backward! Come on. Why are we still pretending men have to be “providers”? That’s so dumb. Every able-bodied adult should be able to look after himself or herself. Sometimes one partner will financially carry more of a load (or all of it) while the other cares for children or elderly family members, or recovers from an illness, or whatever. Sometimes they will switch off. Anybody choosing a partner for their ability to “provide” is shallow AF.
