I graduated from college in 1988 and had never heard of email! I'm surprised at how different our experiences were. I didn't have access to a word-processing program in 1987. I never experienced any of those things until I was in my 30s, which made it pretty damned hard to figure it all out alone. However, I do agree with your point about our brains developing in the analog world.
