I ended up with Pandora over Spotify for random reasons. Pandora gets me. I play a “White Stripes” station I’ve spent time tweaking and 99 percent of the time I hear song after song I just love. My son says it just doesn’t work for him and keeps giving him songs he’s specifically downvoted.
My husband still plays vinyl when we are home, meaning we get an algorithm-free, 100 percent person-curated album-centric experience.
And I hear original local music because we have a studio in the attic.
