I don't think mothers should emulate fathers. I do think fathers should emulate mothers. Children are more important than career, but it's possible to have both. I'd like to see journalists ask men the same kinds of questions they ask women. If a couple is parenting together, they can have each other's backs. If your partner has just taken on a challenging role, you can take up some slack at home, and so forth.

If it were the norm for every parent to openly make time for their children, moms' careers wouldn't suffer for it, because dads would be doing the same.

Kids grow up really fast anyway!
