I don’t see how that works, unless you always cook everything separately.

I can learn from my roommate’s example. At mealtime, she fills half her plate with veggies. She divides the other half equally between protein and healthy carbs, like whole grains. Avoiding recreational sugar altogether, she’s lost weight and it shows!

I don’t see how that works, unless you always cook everything separately. What if you’re serving a mixed salad or soup or a casserole, etc?
