I did not know cars could do this. When did this happen, and how common is it?

My fob recognizes that it’s me when I get in the car. Immediately, the seat slides as far forward as possible, the back of the seat moves to a bolt upright position and my side view mirror moves so that I can see perfectly out my window. I slap on my seat belt and I’m ready to rock and roll.
