I can see that you're choosing not to play victim. You're instead choosing to play self-made person. Both are false narratives.

You're congratulating yourself for making good decisions and working hard. Great! Now, take one step further: Realize that lots of other people also made the best decisions they could and worked hard but are still struggling. Realize that the help you got along the way was not available to everyone. Realize that there's an element of luck for everyone.
