I believe the people for whom this system works well -- the wealthy -- should be the ones supporting it -- not the poor people for whom this system is not working at all. And it's impractical to expect about half of Americans to pay taxes because they don't have it to give. I've had years when I've paid more and years when I've paid little or nothing. By and large, this system does not work well for me.
