I appreciate your courage in writing this piece. I've largely kept quiet on this subject for two reasons -- one, I'm not as knowledgable as I'd like to be about the history, and two, many statements that seem quite reasonable to me, such as the director's speech you quote, are attacked. I want everyone to live in peace, but the minute I try to explain how I think we could get there, I'll be called names.

But you gave me a thought. If it is antisemitic to criticize the current Israeli government, what does that mean for critics of the American government? When you hear right-wingers insist they love their country but hate their government, isn't that a sign that they actually hate Americans? And maybe even the white people who largely run it? Are these people just anti-white people? I'm throwing this out there as a thought experiment.
