I am so sorry you're having to feel these doubts. I think it is very natural, though. My sister died in a bad car accident on April 11, 2021. We did have an open casket, but there had been so much trauma that I would not have recognized her. She didn't look terrible, but she didn't look like herself. It's a hard thing regardless of these circumstances.
