Honestly, I buy cheap shoes and wear them until they’re totaled. The most expensive shoes I ever wore were some magic red leather pumps I paid $60 for in 1984, when I was a college freshman making $3.35 per hour. Maybe if I could find such a magic pair again, I’d shell out the cash. I wish I still had them.
