Here I disagree with you. My opinion is this: People who are prepared to be wonderful, loving parents should have one or two kids (or can adopt as many as they wish). Many people don't wish to have kids at all. If the only people having kids were those of us who really want them, the population would naturally decline. If we'd been better about making contraception available to everyone in the world who wants it decades ago, the population would never be what it is today. Having and raising a small family is not a bad thing.
