Hell no! I was glad to let me son live at home until he paid offf his student and car loans. Then he saved an emergency fund and then enough money for furniture. If he had paid rent that whole time, he’d still be chipping away. You can pay things off fast if you’re making quadruple payments because you don’t have rent, utilities, etc. He’s in much better shape than me and should be able to retire early. I couldn’t do anything about my situation but I could help my kids do better.
