He lives in what are basically palaces -- really gross, decadent ,overdone, resource-sucking palaces -- while extracting money from poor and poor-adjacent people.

Some of his advice is common sense you could get anywhere without paying him a penny. Some of it is bizarre bullshit. Like he says never to use a credit card. That's absurd. I use a credit card for EVERYTHING and pay it off automatically each month. I never pay a penny in interest and the cash back makes me enough money to cover most things I buy from Amazon. (You can arrange your cash-back bonus to be accessible that way.) Using a credit card works great for me. I can see where every penny I spent has gone. It tracks every purchase. If I used cash, I'd have to carry much more. Back in the day, I used to wonder where it all went. Now, I don't wonder -- I know. Just one example.

I find him slimy and distasteful. That he cloaks his grifting in Christianity is especially gross. He is taking advantage of people.
