But I have to drink water. I'm perpetually thirsty. I had to get a special dispensation from the anesthesiology department to allow me to drink water before surgery. They wanted me to go without water for 8 hours. I could not possibly do that, and it does not take 8 hours for your body to process water. I agreed to 4. But I'm an extreme case for sure.
