Great job of making assumptions. I have a great husband NOW, but I did a stint as a single mom before remarrying. As for being financially comfortable, you've obviously never read anything I've written. I talk about financial inequality and about saving money very frequently. I live without so many things that others consider necessities.

If someone doesn't want kids, I hope they never have them. But if people DO want kids, there are ways to manage even if quite poor. I've written tons of pieces about how one can do it. For one thing, most of what people think are necessities aren't. Nobody should have to refrain from having babies they want because they're poor.
