Every intervention tends to lead to another one ... if that fumble-fingered OB had left your cervix alone, there's a good possibility you'd have gone spontaneously into labor somewhat later, and could likely have avoided the section and the infection ... there's no knowing, of course. I am still really mad at what happened in my 12-26-89 birth!
