Ask anybody who has worked for a newspaper— this is a genteel tea party in comparison. Editors used to deal with so much hatred and so many screaming callers. One lady sent a letter to every church in town to inform them of how horrible I was. Most people here are lovely. Enjoy it! (When a friend at a major newspaper started reading me, he was shocked at how nice people are here, compared to the daily hate-fest he experiences. I told him that thoughtful, well-read people are seldom Trumpers.)
