Ask anybody of modest means whose income level has risen and fallen over many years. Depression absolutely can be associated with income. It’s nerve-wracking anytime you’re not sure you’re ok.
We have to distinguish between depression caused by hardship, grief etc. vs depression with no apparent cause.
