As women, we should have much more control over our own bodies than we do. Having a baby should not mean we lose the right to make our own medical decisions, yet I was criticized for planning natural births. BTW, almost everything I had put on my birth plan, which I wrote after doing much research, was standard operating procedure when my daughter had her babies. I was viciously criticized for wanting to move around during labor, to choose my birth position, to room in, to nurse immediately, etc. Now that's normal!
