A Stone Age woman did NOT have a baby every year. She nursed her children for 6-7 years. Lactational amenorrhea spaced kids at least several years apart. Before anyone jumps in and says this isn’t true because they got pregnant while nursing— LA doesn’t happen with typical modern nursing patterns, which are quite different from traditional ones.
