A few years ago, I was flown out to LA to help with a video. It was my first time out there, and I was struck by the way every single person I interacted with, including the Uber driver who picked us up at the airport, presented himself as in the business. I actually found it kind of cool. Maybe people who work in fast food in my small town in central Illinois should identify themselves as screenwriters or makeup artists. Your day job should not identify you.
